How do you do the dishes when you cannot stand for very long? I have tried all sorts of chairs.?
I have tried all sorts of chairs and none of them work. I either slide off or they are too low. Can anyone suggest something please.
You have a couple of options. You could either wash the dishes in a series of five-minute sessions, or you could ask a friend or relative to wash them for you.
You could also use paper plates and cups whenever possible in order to cut back on the amount of dirty dishes you accumluate.
A bar stool will work, if you don't have a dishwasher. If you have a dishwasher, though, a bar stool is too tall and you won't be able to load the dishwasher. Yes, the stool would help you to reach the sink, but it would make it almost impossible to place dishes in the dishwasher.
If you have the money, you could have the sink lowered and then use a regular chair. This would be expensive, but it would work for you.
