I am making glasses from wine bottles & want to know which glue is best for attaching the base to the glass?
We have used a UV glue and it works pretty well, but we are unsure if it is safe to use. We cork the neck of the bottle using the synthetic corks before gluing it to the base. I just want to make sure that if I sell this drinking product, I am not putting my customers in harm's way. Is there a safer glue or epoxy that we should be using
Loctite list dishwasher safe...Not microwave or oven safe.. might be promising..

You might be using the perfect glue/adhesive..
I would think a UV type adhesive used for windshield repair would be the safest way to go..
You might get a clear and good answer by calling your locale windshield repair person and asking. Or a locale glass repair person or even call the company you get your UV glue from..
Welbond looks promising for future experiments..Needs air to dry clear i noted..
