How can I get my dog certified as a Canine Good Citizen in Northern California?
I'm interested in training my pug and getting his certified as a Canine Good Citizen so he can visit with people in need of a smiling face. Are there places in the Silicon Valley that help with this?

If you are not near their facility, give them a call. I'm sure they will be able to refer you to a place near you. The storefront training centers are OK for some, but if you want to go into Therapy dog work, you will need to be around others who are familiar with the work.
My mixed breed girl recently got her CGC. I was so proud There are several items on the test and the dog must pass each one.
Therapy Dog work is about as good as it gets. I would love to attend some of the workshops and classes out in Northern California. You can go to the Delta Society website for qualifications and people in your area who are partners
