Handbags and other crafty stuff?
Hello, I need some input, I own a successful bakery in a very small town and my MIL is wanting to put some of her fabulous handbags and aprons in a small part of my sales floor. My business caters to late teens - early 20's crowd, and she her stuff is very hip and young looking, so what do you all think. Ok is this something that you would like to see in a bakery? She insists that I make a commission, I know nothing about that. How much would you charge? What sounds fair. The space is aprx 3x3 feet.
Try it for 3 months, and make your percentage about 20 cents on the dollar, of what she sells. On a $10 sale you keep 2 bucks. Perhaps start a note book for recording her sales.
Be sure to put up a sign that has a contact phone number for those who might want her to make a "special item " for them.
