How much for a good sized floral arrangement for church altar?
I'm planning my wedding, and I want some sort of real arrangement for the altar (2 of them, actually). I'm not planning on going through my church for this, but from a local florist. How much can I expect to pay per arrangement?
I'm thinking maybe roses, but any royal or light blue flower would work.
All flowers have different prices. Roses are probably not a good choice as they are small for the price of each bloom and not all that showy when seen from a distance. For a decent sized altar arrangement made of roses you can expect to spend around $200-$350 on each. Also, only dyed roses come in blue.
It also helps to know what season the wedding will take place in because flowers have seasons when they are abundant and cheap and seasons when they are rare and expensive, just like fruits and vegetables do. Because we don't know what region of the country you are in or in what season the wedding will be your best bet would be to look up several local florists and get suggestions and estimates and then compare them. To find a florist ask local friends what florist did their wedding flowers and how satisfied they were.
It is smart to go through a florist rather than through the church because most churches just order from a florist and add a bit of a service charge.
