How can I crop a digital picture to a circular or oval frame?
I'm trying to design a transfer for a teeshirt for my grandson, and have a photo which I want to crop to a circular or oval shape and then superimpose on a map. I sometimes use oval text boxes in Publisher but I can't see how to make oval picture boxes. And I've discovered how to make the photo circular in Photoimpact, and even bleed the edge, but I can't crop away the outside bits, to be left with just the circle to superimpose on something - it always comes out with the square box round it. Any suggestions from the experts?

1) How to select the corners outside the crop
2) How to make them transparent.

The next trick is to print it out on the transfer paper I bought, and iron it onto the teeshirt.

Not an expert but when you make that picture circular with Photoimpact instead of saving it as a jpeg file save it as .gif or .png, these support transparent colors. Let me know if it worked.
