dolls
i am wandering around
the thoughts in my head
they hit the ceiling and
bounce off the walls
trapped in a place
a place of fake
you speak yet no one hears
the words have no meaning
i walk away from the truth
this box would shake
i see a drop of light
the light has come but i must go
for fear has overcome me
rattling me inside like a snake
it was so small i couldn't escape it
this door locks me in
to a world of the unknown
closing in on me
an open heart is warm
i am sad and alone
the tiny room in which i stand
i fly too high
my wings only make it harder
to get out of this doll house
